‘Understanding River Restoration’ Two day training course

Utrecht, The Netherlands • 25-26 June 2013

This training course will focus on the importance of understanding natural river processes when designing river restoration projects for ecological and habitat benefits. It will show how to set measurable project objectives that can then be monitored to demonstrate the level of success of the project. The two day event will combine a mix of ‘classroom’ activities and site visits. It will provide a great opportunity to appreciate the science that underpins river restoration and the practical implementation of design and monitoring.

The course is held in Utrecht, the Netherlands. The cost for this training event is only £30 GBP. The rest of the cost is being covered by the RESTORE project. Participants will be responsible for organising and paying the cost of their own transport to and from the event, accommodation and evening meal on Tuesday. Lunch on both days will be included.

There will be a limited number of attendees per country, so please register your interest in this event with the River Restoration Centre by Monday 10th June 2013.
